EDZ are pleased to be sponsoring the Round Latrigg Fell Race again this year, which will take place on 17th August 2016 and is organized by Keswick Athletics Club.
This year’s Round Latrigg race will be run on a different course to usual due to storm damage on the railway line.
The race will start in Fitz Park in the opposite corner to the football club, by the very low pedestrian bridge which goes under Station Road.
Clockwise round the park on the hard path, passing the football club and BMX track to exit to Brundholme Road as normal.
The course will then be same as normal to Gale Road car park, carrying on normal route through next gate on to the fell side, to reach the next gate where a marshal will direct the runners to turn very sharp right to ascend to the summit of Latrigg.
Descent from Latrigg summit by the zig-zag route, then back by the out route, but finishing on the grass behind the cricket pavilion (i.e. the start/finish point of the Up Latrigg race.)
